A flap disc is an abrasive tool attachment made of multiple layers of overlapping abrasives, "flaps" of sandpaper-like sections that adhere to the central hub of the wheel design. The flap disc provides precise angle grinding versatility and the product can be ground and finished in a single operation.
These flap discs also feature colder cuts, less gouging and burning than bonded abrasives such as grinding discs.
Flap discs are mainly used for abrasive grinding and weld finishing, deburring, rust removal and hooking. This abrasive tool is suitable for most ferrous metals.
